Topolski’s Gandhi Sketches Unveiled in New Book
NEW DELHI– A collection of sketches depicting Mahatma Gandhi by musician Feliks Topolski, reeled in 1944, has been released in a brand-new book.
- The sketches capture Gandhi’s dynamic personality through fast, informal illustrations.
- Topolski developed these pieces by observing Gandhi in numerous setups, without formal sittings.
- A 1946 paint, included as guide’s frontispiece, is interpreted by some as a feeling of Gandhi’s murder.
- Another Topolski masterpiece, “The East, 1948,” awaits Rashtrapati Bhavan, gotten by Prime Minister Nehru.
- Devadas Gandhi sponsored guide’s magazine, commending Topolski’s artistic style.
