Karnataka to Ban Social Media for Under- 16 s
Bangalore: Karnataka will outlaw social networks gain access to for children under 16, Principal Minister Siddaramaiah introduced along with the 2026 – 27 spending plan. The move intends to reduce the unfavorable impacts of boosted mobile usage on children.

- Higher Education: 500 crore investment to establish University Visvesvaraya University of Design like IITs, 100 crore designated this year.
- Educator Employment: 15, 000 key and high school educators to be hired.
