2 lions have been seen bounding with the group as Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) organized 500 locals for tea at Dewan Hamzah in Klang, Selangor.
Mayor Datuk Abd Hamid Hussain acknowledged it was exceptional to see the skilled dancers finishing up to the beat of the drums.
He defined the ambiance on the event as one which mirrored hope, success and unity.
“Our celebration of the Lunar New Year with native residents serves as an essential platform to strengthen unity among the many metropolis’s multicultural neighborhood.
“I would like to wish the Chinese community in Klang, xin nian kuai le (Happy Chinese New Year), guo nian hao (celebrate the New Year joyfully), nian nian hao (may every year be a good year) and xin xiang shi cheng (may all your hopes be fulfilled),” acknowledged Abd Hamid, that likewise seized the day to affix guests.
“Let us come together to celebrate the spirit of unity, instil values of mutual respect and make this Lunar New Year a meaningful opportunity to build a more prosperous city,” he acknowledged.
