BJP Introduces Candidates for Assam Setting Up Elections
Guwahati– The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) introduced its candidate listing for the upcoming Assam Setting up elections, nominating 88 people, including recent defectors from Congress, Bhupen Kumar Borah and Pradyut Bordoloi.

- Remarkable Congress turncoats, consisting of Sashi Kanta Das and Kamalakhya De Purkayastha, got BJP tickets.
- Previous setting up speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami will test Congress state principal Gaurav Gogoi in Jorhat.
- The list consists of five females candidates, with 18 incumbent lawmakers denied renomination.
