Iran attacks in response to Nasrallah’s assassination
According to Fars news agency, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) said the missile attack on Israel was in response to the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah last week, as well as the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh earlier this year. IRGC further said that if Israel responds, it will have to face a devastating attack.
