Jaipur: The situation of Sanskrit training in Rajasthan may be very unhealthy. Enrollment has decreased by 11% in 3 years. Enrollment in Sanskrit training colleges is lowering yr after yr. Enrollment for 2021-22 has decreased from 189741 to 167160 by 2023-24.
The greatest purpose for lower in enrollment is the vacant posts of lecturers in Sanskrit training. Here, out of the sanctioned 14244 posts of officers and workers, solely 8085 posts have been stuffed. Most of the 6159 vacant posts of Sanskrit Education Department are of lecturers.
But no curiosity is being proven in filling these vacant posts. Now the division has expressed concern and has emphasised on new efforts to extend the enrolment. Regarding this, dialogue has began on including some new programs in Sanskrit training. The Education Minister has instructed the officers to make the training curriculum attention-grabbing.
