Rail amenities workers will definitely set up a 24-hour strike on Saturday in a disagreement over considerations consisting of functioning strategies.

Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) at Rail for London Infrastructure will definitely exit at 6am.

The union said the industrial exercise will definitely influence amenities fixings and maintenance on the Elizabeth Line versus strike options.

Transport for London said the strike will definitely not influence options.

RMT primary assistant Mick Lynch said: “Our members are taking motion as a result of Rail for London Infrastructure has refused to deal with their reputable considerations and has point-blank refused to fulfill with us.

“The firm’s conceitedness and disrespect for its staff’ security, pay development and dealing situations is totally unacceptable.

“We remain ready to negotiate, but the ball is firmly in the employer’s court. Until they engage meaningfully with the union, our members will continue to fight for their rights and for a safe, fair workplace.”
