Kerala Sees Dip in Roadway Mishap Casualties In Spite Of Total Rise in Accidents
Kochi — Kerala witnessed a reduction in road accident deaths in 2025, in spite of a rise in the overall variety of mishaps, according to the Motor Cars Department (MVD).
Key findings from the MVD data include:
- Deaths: 3, 733 deaths were recorded in 2025, a reduction of 142 contrasted to 2024
- Injuries: 56, 922 individuals were injured in crashes in 2025, a rise from previous years.
- Accidents: 49, 889 mishaps took place in 2025, noting an increase from 48, 834 in 2024
