Mumbai City Broadens with New Corridors
Mumbai’s City network grew Wednesday with the launch of business operations on parts of Lines 9 and 2 B, adhering to Tuesday’s inauguration.
- Line 9 (Stage 1: Connects Dahisar East to Kashigaon with four terminals.
- Line 2 B (Stage 1: Links Deshbhakt N G Acharya Udyan to Maharashtra Nagar– Mandale using five terminals.
- Travel Time Decrease: Line 9 is predicted to minimize Mira-Bhayandar to Mumbai travel time to 30 mins.
- Network Development: Mumbai now has six operational City passages.
- Frequency Improvements: Modified timetables for Lines 2 A and 7 aim to improve traveler experience.
Line 9 supplies the initial straight suburb-to-Thane connection, while Line 2 B offers Harbour Line city accessibility.
